What we watched from PVR - Nothing
What we watched "live" - Survivor, Republic of Doyle
What we PVR'd for later - Mr. Sunshine, Off The Map

Thoughts:

Survivor: Matt is still kicking ass, Phillip is still an ass.  Sarita is the next Matt victim, Ralph wasn't in on it, so he may be on the outs.  David survives another day (I'm him in the pool at work).

ROD: Jonny Harris makes me laugh from the moment he comes on screen.  Constable left the Mayor, and Jake may be playing house with the lawyer.  My real estate agent never dropped a towel to close the deal.  Not that I would have wanted him to...

Tuesday, March 29th

What we watched from PVR - Nothing
What we watched "live" - Bruins vs. Chicago
What we PVR'd for later - Parenthood, Body of Proof

Thoughts:

Lots of things happening in life, so it ended up being the game on and in the background mostly.  Bruins win again. 3-0.  Another shutout for Timmy the Tank.  Bring on the Playoffs!!

Monday, March 28th

What we watched from PVR - Nothing
What we watched "live" - Shameless, Californication
What we PVR'd for later - Mad Love

Thoughts:

Shameless: Lip and Liam in jail, Tony making a deal to get them out, then Steve/Jimmy making a deal with Tony to get them out.  Steve gives him the house.  The aftermath of Frank and Karen.  Lip is furious at Frank.  Karen seems to not care.  Daddy goes after Frank, gets embarrassed at work, and drowns himself.  Steve leaves, and Fiona starts work at H&R Block.  What a jam-packed episode!!

Californication: Hank gets parole, the crowd has the wildest dinner party ever.  Runkle ends up with a knife in his hand, Hank almost drowns again, and Ben saves him.  Rob Lowe playing Moody was too funny.  Hank goes on set and nails the actress playing Karen, and has all these family flashbacks.  Then leaves in the car...where is he going?

What we watched from PVR - Nothing
What we watched "live" - Amazing Race
What we PVR'd for later - Nothing

Thoughts:

Amazing Race: Luke and Margie are gone.  Every time it happens it's emotional, but Luke wears his heart on his sleeve.  All the tea guys picking him up was great though!  Zeb can be a bit abrasive at times, but I know he's frustrated.  Not sure which team is my fave at this point.

Saturday, March 26th

What we watched from PVR - Modern Family, Fringe
What we watched "live" - Away We Go (Movie)
What we PVR'd for later - Nothing

Thoughts:

Modern Family: This show is so funny.  Jay out for drinks with the gay group, and Mitchell seeing a different side of his Dad.  Claire and Phil being afraid of the next door neighbor.  Terrific writing!

Fringe: Wow, I can't believe more people aren't watching this show!  This episode is in the alternate universe and Other-livia is kidnapped and the baby's birth gets accelerated.  We think that the baby and the mother will die, but both survive.  Henry delivers, and now I think we will see more of him.

Friday, March 25th

What we watched from PVR - Hawaii 5-0, Mr. Sunshine, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Off The Map
What we watched "live" - Nothing
What we PVR'd for later - Fringe

Thoughts:

H5-0: This show is like a HD movie every week.  Lariska (sp?) as the new love interest/team member I'm not sold on yet.  Hardly any character development this episode, which is good sometimes.  The case was a little light-weight, and the ComicCon was thrown in for no reason.

Mr. Sunshine: Better writing this episode, now that Alonzo knows about the past relationship will things change?  Not likely.  Jimmy Connors was great as a guest.

Grey's: A bit of a fluff episode leading up to next week's big show.  Adelle having Alz, but not progressed enough to make it into the trail was heartbreaking for Richard.  The big accident at the end with Callie and Arizona?  Can't wait!

Private Practice: Violet's book launch, and we get the ER Vet as the lone bad reviewer and she shows up, and hits on Sheldon...love how TV makes those situations happen.  Addy is not preggo, and so what's going on with her and what's going to happen with Sam?

OTM: The Aussie buddy comes in and makes a black market organ transplant, and the buyer dies.  Well that's not cool.  Mateo and Brenner are being match-made by Mateo's Momma.  Not sure if Brenner will get over the drug plantation they have on the go.

Thursday, March 24th

What we watched from PVR - Nothing
What we watched "live" - Bruins vs. Habs
What we PVR'd for later - Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice

Thoughts:

Bruins-Habs: 7-0, you have to like that.  Total domination in all facets of the game.  Cannot wait for the playoffs!

Wednesday, March 23rd

What we watched from PVR - Nothing
What we watched "live" - Survivor: Redemption Island, Republic of Doyle
What we PVR'd for later - Modern Family, Mr. Sunshine, Off The Map

Thoughts:

Survivor: Matt continues to win, Phillip is bat-shit crazy, Rob may just win this game.  Although no-one will give him the million, so maybe it's one of his minions that will win.

ROD: Great show again tonight, but the honeymoon at home thing was a little forced and didn't make sense.  The judge was the guy in the Gordie Howe HHOF commercial from years ago, I'm sure of it!

Wednesday 23 March 2011

Tuesday, March 22nd

What we watched from PVR - Mike & Molly, Californication, Shameless
What we watched "live" - Nothing
What we PVR'd for later - Nothing

Thoughts:

M&M: I really like this show, not so much when it focuses on Mike's Mom.  Carl is the funniest character and his Grandma cracks me up, but we didn't get to see that this episode.

Californication: Hank is guilty, Carla Gugino failed and we fail to see her naked again...The fab four get together for drinks (minus Marcy), and Becca gets to hear grown-up talk.  Not a terrific episode, but helps to move the story along.

Shameless: What a great show tonight.  We get to meet two of Frank's brothers, one is is apparently a twin?  The other is obviously Liam's father.  Tighty-whitey cop tries to nail Steve, but instead ends up busting Lip and Liam.  Me thinks his shot with Fiona is over, but so may Steve's.  Amy Smart as a lesbian mom hitting on Fiona was uncomfortable but as Kev said, made my man parts grow.

Monday, March 21st

What we watched from PVR - Nothing
What we watched "live" - HIMYM, Mad Love
What we PVR'd for later - Mike & Molly, Hawaii 5-0, Shameless, Californication

Thoughts:

HIMYM:  Barney's Dad is John Lithgow, and he's not legend-wait for it-daddy.  The crowd discussing their "gaps" was funny too. We never saw Barney's sister...could she be the mother?

Mad Love:  The creepy security guard watching everyone was creepy.  The white whale that Larry passes up for Connie was a good story line.  The "Love Actually" boards was pretty good.  Is Jason Biggs having skin issues?  And can't makeup cover that up?

Monday 21 March 2011

Sunday, March 20th

What we watched from PVR - Nothing
What we watched "live" - The Amazing Race
What we PVR'd for later - Nothing

Thoughts:

The Amazing Race:  Jamie and Cara, can't say I was big fans to begin with, they were at most, eye candy.  Kent and Vyx performed well and only lost 30 minutes because of the plane fiasco last week.  The xpress pass was used, and almost netted a first place, but 2nd rocks too!

Sunday 20 March 2011

Saturday, March 19th

What we watched from PVR - Fringe
What we watched "live" - The Switch (Movie)
What we PVR'd for later - Nothing

Thoughts:

Fringe: Terrific as usual, the Belly voice is un-nerving, but Torv can act!  Lincoln as a possible member of Fringe on this side too is cool.  No Fringe for three weeks?

The Switch: Not bad, no Oscars, but I filled the 90 minutes!

Saturday 19 March 2011

Friday, March 18th

What we watched from PVR - Off The Map, Bones, V
What we watched "live" - Nothing
What we PVR'd for later - Fringe

Thoughts:

OTM:
The worm obstruction in the bowel was gross!  The prison story was nice, and made everyone reevaluate their own realtionships.  Mateo is back, and I would guess we see him a lot.  Not much Charlie this week.

Bones:
Stuck in an elevator during a snowstorm.  Having to use old school techniques to make a death analysis.  Wendel and the potato battery was funny.  Angie and Hodgins baby having a 1/4 chance of blindness brings a new level to their relationship, too.

V:
This was the season finale, and lots of people died.  The original Queen, Tyler (presumably), Ryan. and Father Jack is blissed, Hobbes is missing, and the original V guy makes a return.  Not bad, hopefully it gets renewed for next season....

Thursday, March 17th

What we watched from PVR - Mad Love, Mr. Sunshine
What we watched "live" - Private Practice
What we PVR'd for later - Bones

Thoughts:

Mad Love:
Befriending the friends usually never works in a relationship, especially if your friends are odd-balls like this crowd!  Not sure if this show will be kept on the schedule, but we'll see.

Mr. Sunshine:
This episode was a lot more interesting than many so far, and James Taylor was on it.  The annoying dot.com millionaires, were annoying, although the shots of apple juice was a great idea!

Private Practice:
Not a heck of a lot of action, but weird medical dilemma with the harvesting of a preemie's eggs?  That was far out even for this show.  The main point of this episode was the build up for the departure of Nay.  Violet trying to get the author's pic for the cover ended nicely, and I think brilliantly.

Wednesday, March 16th

What we watched from PVR - Nothing
What we watched "live" - Survivor: Redemption Island, Republic of Doyle
What we PVR'd for later - Mr. Sunshine, Off The Map

Thoughts:

Survivor:
Good show once again.  Kristina gets eliminated by Matt, and Krista will be his next victim.  Matt may make it back into the game after all.  The reward of donuts had me craving a Tim's run though!

ROD:
Victor Garber was annoyingly perfect once again in his role.  Jake making out with the Constable had me cheering a little inside.  However, the lawyer being an abused wife will slow everything back down again.

Wednesday 16 March 2011

Tuesday, March 15th

What we watched from PVR - Nothing
What we watched "live" - Glee, Raising Hope
What we PVR'd for later - V

Thoughts:

Glee:
Original songs are okay, but hopefully that's not the direction they are going in.  Kurt's Blackbird was nice, and he got his first real kiss, awww.  New Directions won the regionals, even without Kathy Griffins vote.  Cheap stab at Palin, but whatever.

Raising Hope:
Funniest show on TV right now (Modern Family is up there too).  The family realizes they are all idiots, and Sabrina saves them all from Maw-Maw.

Tuesday 15 March 2011

Monday, March 14th

What we watched from PVR - Second 1/2 of Get Him to the Greek (Movie), Fringe
What we watched "live" - Shameless, Californication
What we PVR'd for later - Mad Love

Thoughts:

GH2TG:
Well, now I want my hour and a half back.  Glad it was free, I got my money's worth!

Fringe:
The floating men kind of tripped me out at the beginning, I had no idea what end was up.  Liv and Peter all lovey-dovey isn't working for me.  Astrid needs a love interest or something outside of the lab.  Walter and the Mint+Cola = classic.  Belly "possessing" Liv at the end was creepy, but hey, it's Fringe!

Shameless:
Monica is still here and so is Bob.  The chastity ball was hilarious.  Liam is Frank's kid, but Ian isn't.  Debbie is also a redhead, maybe she isn't either?  They mentioned Frank's brothers, will we get to see them?  Monica and Bob's exit was well played, and I'm guessing we won't see them again soon.

Californication:
I look like an FBI agent, with a wink to the camera...loved it!  The courtroom was like a "this is your life" flashback.  Crapping on Bill's car, had to pause it, I was laughing too much.  Carla Gugino walks that line between scary and hot.  Right now, she's hot!  Runkle's story of the squirter took me back to one of my favorite scenes in the show's run.  Hank met Mia prior to the hook-up was a blindside, but may not matter.

Monday 14 March 2011

Sunday, March 13th

What we watched from PVR - 1/2 of Get Him to the Greek (Movie)
What we watched "live" - Amazing Race
What we PVR'd for later - Nothing

Thoughts:

Amazing Race:
Good episode, Kent and Vyx are lost, and you know they will suffer a time penalty for missing that plane.  Margie is getting short of breath, she passed out last time.  Then the reveal at the end that they are still racing, everyone is not happy.

Get Him to the Greek:
Well, only watched half, and it's meh so far.  The two lead actors are not leading actors....

Saturday, March 12th

What we watched from PVR - Rules of Engagement, Off The Map, Grown Ups (Movie)
What we watched "live" - Nothing
What we PVR'd for later - Nothing

Thoughts:

RoE:
Pretty good episode, Jeff is always the star, although Adam cracks me up on occasion.  Adamizer is a bowling legend!

OtM:
Brenner loses a guy in the river, Tommy saves a patient with his alcohol high level blood, and the drunken hook-up is all but forgotten.

Grown Ups:
Funny moments, but I feel like I've seen this movie before.  Look foward to the five of them making a buddy action team comedy...

Saturday 12 March 2011

Friday, March 11th

What we watched from PVR - Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, Mr. Sunshine, Big Bang Theory, Mad Love
What we watched "live" - Nothing
What we PVR'd for later - Fringe

Thoughts:

Desperate Housewives:
Although this show has been causing me to lose interest recently, this episode was good, especially the shocker at the end.  I guess Susan now has a kidney!  The Lynette pranks on Renee were quite funny.

Brothers & Sisters:
Yeah, Kitty is back, and is in the CIA!  No, it ends up more like a bad Three's Company episode.  Luc gains some Dad cred, as do Kevin and Scotty.  No Saul this episode?

Mr. Sunshine:
Starting to be better written, Allison Janney's character is a lot over the top.  Then again so is Alonzo.  You know they will hook back up Ben and Alice, hopefully before it's cancelled.

Big Bang Theory:
The best sitcom on TV, IMO.  Fooling Sheldon with the card trick was pretty funny, a little cruel, but funny.  Leonard will eventually be faced with a choice, and he'll choose Penny.

Mad Love:
Larry makes the show.  Having to pretend that he hooked up with Connie, and the resultant ickyness it caused was classic.  Brittany Snow has grown up a lot since American Dreams.

Thursday, March 10th

What we watched from PVR - Nothing
What we watched "live" - Bones
What we PVR'd for later - Big Bang Theory, Rules of Engagement

Thoughts:

Bones

Excellent episode with the sniper from The Mummy, and Billy from ZZ Top.  The tattoo on Hodgins arm exchange was pure gold.  Michael is a good name 8-).  Dr. Nigel Murray was a bit of a non-player this episode, and Tamara Taylor has her hair cut.  Looks good!

Thursday 10 March 2011

Wednesday, March 9th

What we watched from PVR - V
What we watched "live" - Survivor: Redemption Island, Republic of Doyle
What we PVR'd for later - Mr. Sunshine, Off The Map

Thoughts:

V
Admittedly, I wasn't really paying as much attention while watching this as I should have been.  Life will cause those issues.  The bleeding eyes of Anna were a bit much, Joshua remembering he was 5th column was great.  Looking forward to next week's season finale, they previewed a lot of storylines...is it 2 hours?

Survivor: Redemption Island
Lots of internet buzz about this one, but it was all squashed when Russell lost dominoes to Matt.  Phillip is annoying, like Coach was annoying.  Rooster cracks me up.

Republic of Doyle
Jake and the crew find out they know nothing about Des.  It was well done, fleshed out Des's character, and Tinny's relationship.  I'se The Guys male strip club, hilarious!

Wednesday 9 March 2011

Tuesday, March 8th

First blog on this format, so here we go.

What we watched from PVR - Californication
What we watched "live" - Glee, Raising Hope, Bruins versus Habs
What we PVR'd for later - V

Thoughts:

Californication

The real estate agent featured prominently in this episode, we saw a lot of her...we may not see her again.  Hank is rescued by his family again, but Becca writes of the car, and I think we may have seen the last of Ben as well?  Hopefully not the last of Pearl, Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet's daughter.  I think they may develop the Becca-Pearl relationship to a different level.

Glee
was good, Paltrow in a guest role is fine, but I can't take a lot of her.  As Andy Levy tweeted:
Andy Levy
Nice to see the hard work of being Blythe Danner & Bruce Paltrow's daughter & Chris Martin's wife is finally paying off!
The fleshing out of Santana's character was well done as well, and Mike O'Malley as always, was excellent.

Raising Hope

Brother-husbands, we're reverse gender polygamists!  The show is so funny!  Shannon Woodward is so darn cute, and the kid that plays Hope is adorable.

Bruins-Habs

Bruins and Habs, only got to see the start of the game and the end.  I never saw the Chara hit until this morning.  It was late, not an intent to injure, and Z will likely get 2-3 games for it.  If it was at another arena, Pax would have went into the bench, not the tunrbuckel, and we wouldn't be talking about it today.  Habs won 4-1.  That sucks.
